Ian`s Perfect Pecan Pie! :). Here's how to make a pecan pie that actually tastes like pecans. Our pie sports a crisp crust (no sogginess in sight) & a smooth, not-too-sweet filling. What would the best pecan pie recipe look like?
Pecan Pie is always a favorite with my family and this one is dynamite!
One thing that should be in the instructions is that the water and corn starch Pecan Pies today seem to be all corn surypy, so all you can taste is sweet.
My recipe is sweet, but buttery, almost caremelly.

I'm normally in charge of pies for Thanksgiving dinner, but each year I seem to forget what recipe I used the year before. Well this year I can tell you that I've found a pecan pie recipe that I definitely won't forget. This recipe for a perfect pecan pie results in a filling that slices beautifully and stands up with a fabulous flavor and crunch. By that, we mean a balanced sweet flavor, lots of toasted pecans, and the pie slices beautifully into wedges, looking just like pictures of pecan pie in a cookbook.

Pecan pie was one of our all time favorites but it was often a hit or miss recipe. Sometimes it turned out perfect but most of the time we had pecan "soup", which we still loved. Mama laughed along with us as we called it that and she would joke about it as she dished it out into bowls instead of saucers. I used to be scared of Pecan Pie when I was a little girl. It was in the long list of dishes and ingredients that I truly thought would kill me if I tasted them.
